Excellence through People
Employers who are Excellence through People accredited, have been through an independent, external assessment conducted by the British Hospitality Association. This has examined their key employment practices to ensure they have adopted a ten point code of good employment practice. The code covers the principal steps that an employer must take to recruit, select, employ, motivate and retain good quality staff, and to recognise good performance through and effective rewards programme. It includes the employer's obligations in such areas as health, safety and food hygiene legislation.
